Paddy Straw Trays

Paddy straw trays are a uniquely sustainable and socially responsible packaging line, ideal for fresh fruit and vegetables. These compostable trays are certified to AS 5810 Australian Home Compostable, EN13432 European Commercial Compostable and OK Home Compost. They are made from a renewable resource – rice paddy waste and are also certified food safe (Regulation EC No. 1935/2004).

Rather than incinerating rice paddy waste, which pollutes the air, it is sold by farmers and used as the raw material for the paddy straw trays. This creates an additional source of income for farmers while protecting the environment. The trays hold the Silver Cradle to Cradle Certificate in recognition of the positive impact on both people and the planet.
