Wedderburn searched the world for a compostable label material and adhesive. We found Bio4life materials and since 2017 are proud to offer their materials in Australia and New Zealand.
The Bio4life range of compostable labels available exclusively through Wedderburn with compostable inks and varnishes. Both the material and adhesive are certified compostable to EN13432 the European Industrial Composting Standard and are approved for direct food contact.
The BioTAK® S100 adhesive is a permanent compostable acrylic adhesive, which has been carefully formulated to include a high content of renewable materials. The adhesive is certified to EN13432 and complies with EC1935/2004 & FDA (145.105) for direct food applications. It is the world’s first compostable adhesive for labelling.
Several different materials are available in the compostable range, ensuring suitability for a variety of applications. Each material is different and has a unique appeal of its own.
