We partnered exclusively with Bio4Life in 2017, their range of compostable labels are available exclusively through Wedderburn with compostable inks and varnishes. Both the material and adhesive are certified compostable to AS 5810 the Australian Home Compostable Standard and are approved for direct food contact.
Compostable Adhesive
The BioTAK® S100 adhesive is a permanent compostable acrylic adhesive, which has been carefully formulated to include a high content of renewable materials. The adhesive is certified to EN13432 and complies with EC1935/2004 & FDA (145.105) for direct food applications. It is the world’s first compostable adhesive for labelling.

PaperWise – Natural & White
- Made from sugarcane and agricultural waste (bagasse).
- Natural: Unbleached for an organic look.
- White: Naturally bleached, eco-friendly alternative to conventional paper.
- Approved for direct food contact with BioTAK® S100 adhesive.
- Also available as sheet material for inkjet, laser and copiers.
MC Paper – General Purpose White
- FSC-certified, wood-free paper with smooth top coating.
- Ideal for high-quality printing (barcodes, QR codes, vibrant colours).
- Approved for direct food contact with BioTAK® S100 adhesive.
- Available as sheet material for copiers and printers.
NatureFlex – Clear, White or Silver
- Compostable cellulose film from FSC wood pulp.
- Moisture, oil and grease resistant; looks and feels like plastic.
- Available in transparent, glossy white and metallic silver.
- Approved for direct food contact.
Thermal Eco Paper
- Heat-sensitive paper for direct thermal printing.
- FSC-certified, PBA-free; ideal for short-life products (transport, fresh food).
- Approved for direct food contact.
Thermal Top-Coated PaperWise
- Heat-sensitive paper made from agricultural waste.
- Natural brownish look; ideal for direct thermal printing.

Sylvicta (Clear Paper)
- Frosted clear matte bio-paper from renewable wood pulp.

MaterBi
